          Die Schanze

Excursion restaurant in the Winterberg ski jump

New start at the ski jump in Winterberg, THE landmark of the town. After extensive renovation and remodelling work together with the Winterberg ski club, we have now been running the new ski jump restaurant for a year. Your reviews show that we have done a lot of things right.

Visit us on one of the most beautiful viewing platforms in Winterberg and enjoy the view from the Kahler Asten to far beyond Winterberg. Freshly baked cakes, waffles and a delicious selection of dishes await you - including meat-free options, inspired by the street food style.

          Onto the Die Schanze...

It's always worth it up here at 734 metres above sea level. From our fantastic summer terrace, you have a wide view over the ski lift carousel, the Kahler Asten and Winterberg to the Kahler Asten even in winter. We also serve homemade cakes, trendy waffles or classic cuisine, interpreted in a modern street food style.

Please note that we only have car parking spaces for people with disabilities. The tarmac road to the Die Schanze is restricted. You will find a large car park below the ski jump at "Herrlohweg 1". From here you can reach us in 5 minutes.
